The first page of the "Polendenkschrift" (Poland memorandum) of October 7, 1939. . This document became public after his death and set off a broad discussion among historians.The paper, written down by my grandfather and the result of a commission of five historians, of whom he was one, recommends, among other things, the "extraction of Jewry from the Polish cities" and the "dejewification" of the remaining parts of Poland to create "a healthy people's order".
